About Us
Wild Blue Flyers is a non-equity flying club that aims to make flying accessible to everyone. Our leased club plane is IFR certified and ready for you to explore the skies.
IFR Certified Panel / Equipment
The Club plane got a new panel overhaul in October 2024 - Which now means the Cessna is equipped with a Garmin GNX 375 for GPS work, including LPV approaches. The GNX 375 also has ADS-B in and out, with the transponder incorporated into the unit. A Garmin GNC 215 provides the Nav/Com service, with the ability of ground based navigation for VOR and ILS / Localizer approaches. There are 2 G5 units, for Attitude indicator (also displays airspeed, altitude, track/heading, and can display either the GPS or VOR track), and the 2nd one is either a backup of the same info, or an HSI that is connected to both the GPS info and the VOR/ILS info for heading/track/wind diamond, course deviation. There is also a uAvionix AV-20s that provide battery voltage info, another source of attitude indication, G-meter, AOA - Angle of Attack info, and multiple Timers. Most of the original six-pack instrumentation was retained to provide backup indications for whichever style you prefer... the old steam gauges or new digital display... your choice!
